“I was on the metro in Cairo, wearing my hijab, and a woman was wearing the niqab – a full face-face veil – sat opposite me. We got into a conversation, and I realized that she wanted me to dress the same way she did. She said, “Would you rather eat a piece of candy that was in a wrapper or unwrapped?” I said to her “I am a woman, not a piece of candy.‘”

my binder is too big for me fuck jdnndf

i dont wanna be nesn but aren’t u a lesbian

why do you have a binder

i have dysphoria, but i’m not transitioning. plus i can pass as male with a binder, and it’s much safer for me to do look like a man than look like a butch lesbian in my town.

what

What… is so hard to understand…? Evan has sex dysphoria and it’s safer for her to pass as male rather than a butch lesbian in her town. It ain’t that deep.

Because she/they has dysphoria… and uses a binder, which implies that she/they would be ftm… but she/they calls herself/themselves a lesbian??? If it’s better to pass as a trans man, which they would be if they had dysphoria, why call oneself a lesbian instead?

I’m

Confused

i literally explained it in my comment above, dude.

She has dysphoria but doesn’t want to transition it’s pretty simple lmao (+ it’s almost always safer for women, especially butch/masculine women, to pass as men if possible I don’t get why anyone would be confused by that concept)

Don’t just tell little girls they are beautiful.

Remind them that they are smart, funny, and kind. Praise them for being courageous, for finding their voice and using it, and for being brave. Help sooth the pain of the trauma of girlhood by promising to love her no matter how she presents. Encourage her to be loud, tough, and fearless. Teach her that no one has the right to touch her without her consent. Show her action movies with powerful, independent, smart, and multifaceted women. Let her know it’s okay to cry and be emotional AND teach her to express those emotions in healthy ways so she doesn’t bottle them up. Help her learn to love her body, her face, and everything she is. Take her shopping and let her pick out whatever outfits she wants without projecting your ideas onto her. Listen to her. Be there for her. Understand that she is a human being, and not some prop to raise into the stereotypes assigned to the term “woman”.

Don’t try to break her spirit like you did to me.

south korean feminists: absolutely refusing to have sex with men, get married, have children, watch their weight, wear makeup, have long hair, etc. until korean men shape up and their culture stops encouraging women to starve themselves and spend their entire lives trying to look like 10 year old girl sex dolls

western feminists: did you know that not sucking dick is actually really problematic, also fix your eyebrows :/

Kenyan Feminist: Starting exclusive female villages and schools. Protesting forced marriages and FGM. Leaving their husbands, and speaking out against the rape culture.

Western Feminist: Uhm what do you mean you will never have sex with anyone with a penis? That’s like super bias and hateful. Also sex work is work lol.

you know what i do have to hand it to ya, it was actually a pretty impressive manipulation, like a brilliant tactical rebranding, to change the rhetoric around from “cotton ceiling” (i want to access you and you won’t let me) to “genital preference” (you are a perverted sexual degenerate with warped desires). especially cuz of the lull in between where everyone denied that rhetoric was real and had impacted the hell out of a lot of young people. i notice that happening a lot again now so it’ll be interesting to see the 3.0 model

I was reading an article about a FTM trans person suing a Catholic hospital for refusing to allow a hysterectomy and the comment section was so ugly

“Wants to be a man, still a stupid bitch.”
“Hysterical whiny bitch”
“This cunt deserves whatever happens”
“Stupid bitch”
“Ugly slut deserves to be pregnant”

So, you know, misogyny doesn’t exactly end once a female has transitioned.

I hope you don’t mind me adding a comment like this but I was just thinking about how a lot of the porn that involves trans men (or c*nt boys) also involves things like threat of/forced pregnancy, humiliation based around their female anatomy, or being vaginally raped.

A lot of transphobia against trans men is just straight up misogyny, often incredibly violent and sexualized. And I’m sure that having to deal with it only further fuels their dysphoria, too.

Misogyny is not the hatred of the feminine, but hatred of the female. Unfortunately you cannot identify out of experiencing misogyny.

i would love to add this post:

this was during 2014, where transwomen would attack critical thinking transmen.

Holy shit… how fucking male. And I’m supposed to believe this is a woman?

@lesbian-lizards is this one of the reasons there are articles by transwomen about how watching porn helped them become comfortable in their identity, while i’ve not really seen anything of that number from transmen…

Anybody remember that post a trans woman made that just said: MtF > FtM.
I do.

Or this?

I honestly don’t get how people don’t see trans women and trans “activism” as inherently male and misogynistic.

Ooh ooh or the one about trans women eliminate cis and keeping some trans men around for breeding purposes

Okay and one of the other comments on this even points out that ftm-themed breeding kinks are popular on here? (or, were? I guess? Before the porn purge)
