when you turn “women wanted to be men because they wanted to escape from a society that abuses women” into “women wanted to be men because they had body dysphoria,” you erase the fact that society abused women.
what of the women who didn’t try to disguise themselves as men? did those women in history “choose to identify as female” because they identified with and enjoyed their oppression? did they do it because it made them “feel like a woman”?
Women must love to be sexually abused, forced to be men’s broodmares and homekeepers. If they didn’t, they would have just identified as men.
If you think I’m being dramatic, take a drink every time butch lesbians get pressured to transition. It’s my reality as a gender nonconforming woman. Which logically means that those who “identify as women” must enjoy bimbofying themselves at the cost of their own wellbeing.
