Lost 6 followers but you know what? Our trans sisters deserve better than you groups of people. They helped us found our community, helped us gain our rights, and are such a BIG part of our history. i know we’re beating a dead horse with this whole ‘2018 is never ending’ thing but the hawaii missile scare was this year
everyone in hawaii thought they were gonna be wiped off the map less than one year ago and then we all fucking forgot because of all the bullshit that’s happened since
yeah no doubt dude. I surely haven’t forgotten. it was scary as fuck. I literally woke up to it, all my little cousins were sleeping over so I just stared at them all sleeping on the floor after have a fun time the night before with everyone and had to come to terms with the fact that they may all be dead in a few and all I could think was “please, if it has to happen, please just let them sleep.” like…it was real shit.
so if the modeling industry was what it should be, it would be “hey this is what clothes look like on bodies so you can get an idea of what that means for your body!!” but instead it’s a glorification of female starvation and a romantification of pre-pubescent stylization of youth.
Fashion industry relies on child labor and ‘fast fashion’ harms the environment. Better to purchase a little higher price pieces that will last a long time, or thrift your clothes, than support those industries.
Here’s the thing: testosterone is a hormone that fuels anger, and violence, and reactionary bursts of aggression…but humans also have free will, and a prefrontal cortex that allows adaptation beyond instinct, and we have conciousness and thought and control of our actions.
So even if a man is pumped full of raging testosterone that is screaming at him to punch his girlfriend, or strangle his wife, or hit his child, or rape that woman, or get in that bar fight…he can simply choose not to. Because we’re human, and that choice is pretty much what separates us from the rest of the animal kingdom.
So biology, while a factor to male violence, isn’t an excuse.
So then there’s socialization, which mainly is the expectation of men to act on these things, the excuse of it, and the weird notions of masculinity that revolve around being bigger and stronger and more aggressive and more capable of violence than other men, but especially women. And that’s inexcusable, too.
Conclusion: gender needs to be dismantled, and let your sons cry.

Misgendering dysphoric people. Can’t support dysphoric people while doing something you know will make them dysphoric unless they’re a predator and I’m not counting unintentional misgendering
I’m entirely against misgendering dysphoric people! (Though I’d argue it’s more rude than “literal violence”) Dysphoria is a serious medical condition, and if using certain pronouns alleviates that pain for some people, I’m going to use their preferred pronouns.
Some radfems might disagree, though I believe you’ll find that the majority agree with me!

Ah, no worries!! I think its important those of us within the radfem community make sure to keep in mind that dysphoria is a very real mental condition. Some forget, and act cruelly, and it doesn’t hurt to do a little accountability. It can definitely be a turn off from some people trying to enter the community, so I can understand why it’s a radfem issue you struggle with. Don’t be afraid to call people out! Or DM them! Or hell, even ask me to if you don’t want a rudefem at your neck:)

rather than fixing their obviously very flawed code and development, they’re deciding to ban tits? fucking tits?
